Bio

Dr. Yrika Maritz is a dynamic organizational development professional currently serving as Head of Experimentation at UNDP Namibia Accelerator Lab, where she has successfully spearheaded initiatives addressing complex development challenges in alignment with the UN 2.0 vision. With extensive experience spanning over two decades, she has cultivated expertise in strategic design, management and leadership development, and multi-sector partnerships. Her innovative work at UNDP focuses on addressing complex development challenges through human-centered design and data-driven approaches, with particular emphasis on digital transformation and public sector innovation.

Previously, Dr. Maritz served as Director of Management and Leadership Development at the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM) and held key positions in the Office of the Prime Minister, Namibia, including Deputy Director of the Efficiency and Charter Unit and Chief Learning and Development Officer. There, she significantly contributed to enhancing governmental efficiency, accountability, and responsiveness through behavioural science and evidence-based strategies.

Dr. Maritz holds a PhD in Public Administration and Management from the University of Stellenbosch, complemented by master’s degrees in both Public Policy and Administration and Clinical Psychology. Her unique academic background combining governance and psychology informs her holistic approach to organizational development and leadership.
