Dr. Bella Bello Bitugu is a distinguished academic and sports administrator with extensive experience in sports development, international cooperation, and educational leadership. Currently a Senior Lecturer at the University of Ghana, he previously served as the Director of the Sports Directorate from 2013 to 2024. 

Dr. Bitugu brings a wealth of knowledge from his work with international organizations including UNESCO, the United Nations, the African Union, and FIFA. His expertise spans sports management, intercultural communication, and using sports as a tool for social development. 

He holds adjunct positions at international institutions including Management Centre Innsbruck and Applied University of Kufstein in Austria. Dr. Bitugu’s contributions extend beyond academia into policy development and advisory roles, shaping the future of sports in Africa and beyond.
