Dr. Anderson Uvie-Emegbo is the Academic Director and Chief Operating Officer of Nova Business School Africa, where he brings his extensive expertise in strategy, innovation, leadership, and digital transformation to shape the institution’s academic excellence and operational efficiency.
Before joining Nova, Dr. Anderson was a Senior Executive Fellow at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Africa, where he taught strategy, innovation, marketing, sales, leadership, communications, emotional intelligence, coaching and technology in business in the Global Executive MBA (GEMBA) Programme as well as in Executive Education and Company Specific programmes. His academic influence extends across multiple prestigious institutions, having served as International Faculty at Strathmore Business School in Kenya, Resource Faculty at Lagos Business School in Nigeria, Adjunct Faculty at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University in Nigeria, and Lecturer in Business and Tourism at the Global Banking School in the UK. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Anderson has educated participants from over 80 countries, demonstrating his ability to deliver transformative learning experiences to diverse global audiences.
With over 17 years of experience as a transformational leader, executive coach, and Pan-African business strategist, Dr. Anderson has designed and executed successful corporate transformation initiatives across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States. He has led innovation and digital media functions for prominent African brands, including spearheading digital transformation at leading financial institutions such as First Bank of Nigeria and United Bank for Africa, where he pioneered innovative customer engagement strategies that delivered measurable business results.
Dr. Anderson is also the COO and Co-Founder of Venco, a fast-growing proptech startup revolutionizing property operations across Africa. His ability to guide organizations through high-growth phases positions him as a trusted advisor for entrepreneurs and businesses. In the hospitality sector, he has advised global and Pan-African hotel management companies on service excellence and digital innovation.
As an international conference speaker and executive coach, Dr. Anderson has supported countless leaders in navigating complex challenges and driving organizational transformation. His coaching expertise has established him as a key figure in leadership development across Africa, having coached hundreds of executives and entrepreneurs to achieve measurable success.
Dr. Uvie-Emegbo holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Cumbria (UK), an MSc in Global Management from the University of Salford (UK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Leading Innovation and Change from York St John’s University (UK), and a degree in Medicine and Surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK), an alumnus of IESE Business School (Spain) and Lagos Business School (Nigeria), a Certified Professional Coach, and an Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) Assessor.
