Dr. Anderson Uvie-Emegbo is a transformational business educator, strategist, digital innovator, entrepreneur and executive coach, shaping the future of leadership, business education, and enterprise growth in Africa. As Vice President, Academic Director & COO of Nova Business School Africa, he leads the strategic and operational direction of the school, ensuring cutting-edge, high-impact education and advisory solutions that drive real-world business transformation.
Drawing on over 17 years of experience across Africa, Europe, and North America, his unique combination of medical training, business acumen, and technological expertise allows him to approach challenges with both analytical precision and creative insight. During his 3.5 years of medical practice, he took delivery of 15 babies (14 girls and one boy), performed 52 surgical operations, saw over 3,000 outpatients, and ran a private clinic, developing invaluable skills in critical decision-making, empathy, and patient care that continue to inform his leadership approach today.
Prior to joining Nova, Dr. Anderson distinguished himself as a Senior Executive Fellow at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) Africa, where he educated executives from over 80 countries in strategy, innovation, leadership, doing business in Africa and digital transformation. His academic career includes serving as an International Faculty at Strathmore Business School (Kenya), a Resource Faculty at Lagos Business School (Nigeria), an Adjunct Faculty at the School of Media and Communication, Pan-Atlantic University (Nigeria), and a lecturer at Global Banking School (UK).

As COO and Co-Founder of Venco, a fast-growing proptech startup revolutionizing property management across Africa, Dr. Anderson has demonstrated his ability to guide organizations through high-growth phases. His leadership transformed digital operations at major African financial institutions, including First Bank of Nigeria and United Bank for Africa, where he pioneered innovative customer engagement strategies that delivered measurable business results.
A Certified Professional Coach and an Emotional & Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) Assessor, Dr. Anderson has provided transformative coaching to executives at global and leading Africa-focused organizations. He is a past Chair of the Africa Advisory Council of the International News Media Association (INMA). At Nova, he leverages this extensive cross-industry experience to design and facilitate programmes that develop the next generation of African business leaders, equipping executives, entrepreneurs, and organizations across Africa to scale, adapt, and thrive in dynamic markets.
Dr. Anderson holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Cumbria (UK), an MSc in Global Management from the University of Salford (UK), a Postgraduate Diploma in Leading Innovation and Change from York St John’s University (UK), and a degree in Medicine and Surgery from Obafemi Awolowo University (Nigeria). He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (UK) and an alumnus of IESE Business School, Spain.
