Prof. Mathew Tsamenyi Appointed as President & CEO
Prof. Mathew Tsamenyi joins Nova as our President & CEO. A globally recognised academic and business strategist, Prof. Tsamenyi brings decades of experience in executive education, corporate governance, and business transformation across Africa, Asia, and Europe.

Dr. Anderson Uvie-Emegbo Takes Helm as Vice President, Academic Director & COO
Dr. Anderson Uvie-Emegbo joins as Vice President, Academic Director & Chief Operating Officer. With over 17 years of expertise in digital transformation, operational excellence, and leadership development, Dr. Uvie-Emegbo brings invaluable experience from his roles in other higher education institutions in Africa and the UK.
As co-founder and COO of Venco, a high-growth African proptech startup, he intimately understands the complexities of scaling businesses in African markets. “Africa does not need another business school – it needs The Business School for Africa. One built for African realities, global relevance, and lasting impact,” states Dr. Uvie-Emegbo.
Dr. Abena Asomaning Joins as Vice President of Strategic Partnerships
Completing our executive leadership team, Dr. Abena Asomaning assumes the role of Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & External Relations. With over 20 years of leadership and governance experience spanning public service, consulting, academia, and nonprofit sectors, Dr. Asomaning brings exceptional expertise in building strategic collaborations across corporate, government, and development sectors throughout Africa.
Her PhD in Health Economics from the University of Lille 1, France, and MBA from the University of Lincoln, UK, complement her extensive board experience across multiple sectors, offering a unique perspective that bridges business administration, policy development, and strategic leadership.
